About
The Atlanta Art Awards, formerly known as "The Burghàlie Art Awards" is an annual fundraising event held for the benefit of the Burghàlie Academy of Visual Arts. The Burghàlie Academy of Visual Arts is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status that advocates for under resourced youth in the realms of fashion and art by providing funding , educations, and other resources that are essential for the development of artistry. The weekend consists of 3 events that allow artist to network with industry professional and present their work on a larger platform.
The goal for our 2022 event is to raise enough funds to launch our first facility in Atlanta, GA. This facility will serve as a productive environment for under-resourced youth to receive mentoring, tutoring, and other youth development services. Additionally, the Alani Taylor brand will be launching a youth development program that will teach young children entrepreneurial skills, fundamentals of sewing, and financial literacy. Upon completing this program, the youth will graduate with their own LLC. We aim to make a difference by creating equal opportunities for young people who are typically placed at a disadvantage in society.
